This is my third year photographing these two. There is nothing sweeter than the bond between a mother and her son. I love to watch them together each year. So special!

I took pictures of these two a couple of years ago. It was so much fun to see how much they have changed! They are what I call “I’m hugging you, but I’m hitting you” brothers. They are funny, playful, giggly, rough, amazing, and handsome!

We had such a chilly and windy start to this session. Thankfully, we hid between buildings in downtown Clarksville and the weather slowly began to cooperate. It was such an honor to photography this family. I have admired them from afar for a while. They are the definition of love, strength, faith, and family. I know that they treasure this photos as much as I do. And that makes my heart happy. 🙂

This is one of those session that I wanted to happen for a long time. An old friend who lives on the opposite side of the country. She grew up, met a boy, and had babies. This was a session that we both wanted. If only the planets aligned and we could be at the same place at the same time for a session. And then, it happened! Here’s to beautiful families and life, long friends. What a great way to kick off my mini session season!

I LOVE repeat customers because I just love watching how much a kid can change in a short amount of time. There is so much love in this family. There are so many giggles. There was so much chasing the toddler going on. Her sweet, little face was completely worth breaking out into a full sweat! <3

I LOVE this session! Let me count the ways...
Here’s to a mom that had a dream. Family sessions tend to fall off of the radar once the kids are grown. Nope, she’s not having that answer! She patiently waited until they all came in town at the same time and told them to be prepared for family pictures. Not only that, but she told them that it could be her Christmas present later this year. I, too, am a mother of 3. I am going to use the Christmas present trap in my future days! Well played! Very well played!
One of the questions that I get asked a lot is “what should we wear for pictures?” Here’s a perfect example of how to pull colors together. I don’t know who put their perfectly blended outfits together, but they nailed it!
And finally…
When you have an old barn on your property and a big, fluffy, beautiful dog, well… it doesn’t really get much better than that!

There was that time when a 2-year-old boy lived across the street from me, grew up, had a family with 3 kids, and I took their photos for Christmas. Yep, life is crazy! I love family sessions for so many reasons! This is one of those reasons!
